Owned from new by private hobbiest clockmaker. Kept in a heated room in the house.
Best example of this MK2, 10 speed milling machine I have acquired to date.
Built by an extremely good clockmaker. The quality of finish and detail is top notch. Excellent partner to the Myford lathe as this mill has the Myford threaded spindle with MT2. This menas you can also use the Myford collet nose and collets.
Single phase quality Brook Crompton motor. Needs a belt.
We also have a selection of Dore Westbury milling accessories, built by the same builder. There are many of the George Thomas designed items and also the Dore Westbury rotary table, long machine vice, boring head, etc.
The above late Nottingham Myford Super 7 Sigma lathe was also owned by the same clockmaker and is in excellent original condition.. It would be wonderful to think the Lathe and Mill stayed together under a new owner. Please do call and have a chat if you are considering buying the pair of machines. See also the above George Thomas dividing and graduating device with Super 7 headstock attachment. The purchaser of the Sigma lathe will be given the option to by this device (shown above on the Sigma lathe and Dore Westbury Mill table), as the lathe has the fixing points already in place.
Price: £ 1,895 for the milling machine. (no additional VAT to
add)
