3.5" Tich 0-4-0 LBSC live steam tank locomotive for sale.
A completed engine that several years ago was run on air (through the boiler) according to the builder. Looks extremely well made with all the extras one would like to see including: brakes, axel pump, whistle, lubricator, brass platework (cab, tanks, smokebox, running boards...) etc.
Brass platework was never painted and has a dark patina. Could be left as it, polished or painted. It would look superb eitherway, or just leave it as it is.
I can say it was built by a very good model engineer when built a fine running beam engine, a paddle steamer and a very impresssive 1/4" scale Bently BR2 9 cylinder radial aero engine to the accuracy of 5 microns. He did an apprentiship through his father's engineering company and work there for 15 years before moving on to work for Timex, the watchmakers. Everything he has made that I acquired has been really quite superb. He also built a clock.
